The 300 leaves the factory with a payload of around 650 kg. Add a bar, drawers, a fridge and a family and there's not much left. A GVM upgrade more than doubles it.

The factory 300 Series wheel has no documented load rating, so every GVM package needs load-rated wheels and tyres rated to at least 1,285 kg each. Tyre size is 285/65R18.
We'll quote a wheel and tyre package with the upgrade so it's all done in one visit.
Touring Solutions Australia also offers a 4,000 kg braked towing upgrade for the 300, from $5,000. It needs a TSA 4.2T GVM upgrade and a Curt Rebellion XD hitch with a 70 mm ball, or a DO45. It can be done pre or post rego in Queensland.
We'd also suggest an extra transmission cooler, a brake controller and a transmission temperature monitor for heavy towing.
